Currently, we recruit for 2 projects:
1. The project entitled: "Development of tools for the rational design of peptide therapeutics" - OPUS project financed by the National Science Centre, project manager: dr hab. Sebastian Kmiecik, Professor of the University of Warsaw
The development of peptide drugs and peptide vaccines are currently active research areas with wide applications in addressing unmet medical needs. In the project, we will be using structure-based modeling, machine learning, cheminformatics, and different kinds of experimental data to provide valuable support for experimental drug discovery. From the project beginning, we plan to participate in real-life drug design projects.
2. The project entitled: "Integrative methods for modeling protein-protein complexes and multimolecular assemblies" - the Polish-Chinese Sheng research project 2021/40/Q/ NZ2/00078 financed by the National Science Center, project manager: dr hab. Sebastian Kmiecik, Professor of the University of Warsaw
The project "Integrative methods for modeling protein-protein complexes and multimolecular assemblies" will include work on developing new software and/or using state-of-the-art structural bioinformatics software to study the structure of protein-protein complexes (or proteins with other molecules), study structure-function relationships, drug design, supporting experimental biomedical research, cooperation with external research groups. Within the project, we will cooperate with prof. Huang group from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.
The positions are based in the Biological and Chemical Research Center at the University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland. Please apply using Sebastian Kmiecik email: sekmi@chem.uw.edu.pl
